The Basilica of the National Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton is seeking an Organist to accompany cantor and congregation at the 9 a.m. Mass every Sunday; Holy Week Masses/services on Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Vigil; and a Mass on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Responsibilities include coordinating with Liturgy Resource Department to select hymns and service music; rehearsing with cantors; and overseeing the regular maintenance of the three-manual Moeller pipe organ, Yamaha upright piano, and electric organ.

The ideal candidate will be an accomplished organist and pianist with the ability to play and teach a broad repertoire of sacred music. Knowledge of Catholic liturgy and liturgical documents, and the ability to cantor, are preferred.

Compensation includes salary commensurate with experience using AGO guidelines, and a book allowance for music.

Organist Position Available at St. Leo’s in Little Italy

St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church in Little Italy, Maryland is in search of an organist to play for the 9:30 a.m. Mass on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Sunday of each month.   This position requires the directing of a traditional choir on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month; with paid rehearsals at the director’s discretion.  Should this position be more attractive with the offer of extra masses per month; negotiations can certainly be made.  Position available immediately.  Please contact Mary Grace Mazzulli at 410-468-0778.
